What's the difference between the 1-Pair and 2-Pair packs?
The 2-Pair Pack includes 2 sizes (S+M or M+L), designed for those unsure of their size - you get a perfect fit + a backup pair. The 1-Pair Pack includes one pair in the size you choose (S, M, or L). Not sure? Shop the 2-Pair Pack.
How do I know which size to pick?
If you're unsure or a first time customer, we recommend the 2-Pair Pack. If you already know your size, pick S, M, or L above. The S+M pack fits most women and the M+L pack fits most men.
How much noise do they actually block?
HearLume is ANSI certified at –12dB NRR with peak attenuation up to -20dB. That's enough to bring a 110dB concert down to a safer 90dB.
Can I reuse them? How long do they last?
Yes — HearLume earplugs are fully reusable. The acoustic filters last 4 years with proper care. We recommend replacing the TPE ear tips every 6–12 months depending on usage. Replacement tips and filters are available separately.
Will I still be able to talk to people?
Absolutely. Unlike foam plugs that muffle everything, HearLume's filters reduce volume evenly across all frequencies. Speech stays natural and clear — you can hold a conversation at a loud bar without shouting.
