Policy
1-Year Limited Warranty
We stand behind every product we make. Here's what's covered.
Your HearLume Is Protected
One full year of coverage from the date of purchase.
HearLume ("GoldSails LLC") warrants to the original retail purchaser that your HearLume high-fidelity earplugs and carrying cases shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the warranty period, HearLume will, at its option, either repair the product at no charge or exchange it with a new or functionally equivalent product.
What Is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects such as:
Defective filters with loose or rattling internal components.
Structural failure such as broken threads or detached keychains.
Defects in the connector cord mechanism (if applicable).
What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not apply to:
Loss or Theft
We do not cover earplugs or accessories that are lost, stolen, or misplaced.
Normal Wear and Tear
Scratches, cosmetic fading, or surface damage that does not affect the performance of the product.
Consumable Parts
Silicone and foam ear tips are consumable items that degrade with regular use. They are not covered unless they arrive defective out of the box.
User Damage
Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water damage, or neglect — including earplugs crushed, chewed by pets, or cleaned with harsh chemicals.
Hygiene Issues
Reduced performance due to earwax buildup or lack of proper maintenance.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
To start a warranty claim, contact our support team at support@hearlume.com and include the following:
Your original Order Number (proof of purchase).
A description of the defect.
Photos or video showing the issue — this helps us expedite your claim without needing you to mail the product back in some cases.
If your claim is approved, HearLume will cover the cost of shipping the replacement product to you.
Warranty Shipping Costs
If a physical inspection is required to verify a defect:
You are responsible for shipping costs to return the defective product to HearLume. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we are not responsible for lost packages.
If your warranty claim is validated, HearLume will cover the shipping costs to send the repaired or replacement product back to you.
Limitation of Liability
Except as provided in this warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, HearLume is not responsible for direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of revenue, loss of actual or anticipated profits, loss of the use of money, or loss of anticipated savings.
Some states (including North Carolina) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
